We we have now gone through the half way point of the Summer Challenge peeps, I am sure most of you are starting to notice the change in physical appearance as well and metal well being?
I really hope this challenge has triggered off something inside of you to make a change in life, rather than just waking up, having a coffee and a Muffin..hitting the desk, getting home and chilling? Why be a boring old joe Soap...Challenge yourself..
Once we are done with this challenge what are you going to do to push yourself to the next level? It does not need to be something crossfit related? It can be anything, it is important to set stepping stones that will push you out of your limits.
Do something that will make you feel proud of yourself and something that you know you worked towards. Whether it be finishing your first half marathon or training with a soccer team and complete a full season with them.
Find that one thing deep inside you have always thought you wanted to do..but told yourself you can't..and do it. Tell yourself you "can"..and work towards it.
We have the gift of choice..use it! We can do anything we set our minds too.
Set that goal, let it impact your life and open new doors that you always thought we shut.
These are the things that define us.

It's more than a session it's part of a Journey...
So we have reached the halfway point of the challenge, how was week 3 for you with the Paleo eating lifestyle, I am sure most of you are now over the " Paleo Flu" and getting your energy levels back.
From my side I have upped my fat blocks a little bit and can feel I have a bit more energy, which was certainly needed with the intense week of training, loads of endurance WoDs coming into the mix.
Week 3 was probably my favorite weeks training week so far because I think we were all pushed out of our comfort zones and a lot of peeps can be super proud of themselves for really pushing their limits. We saw Pullups being completed in Nicole, new PB's being hit and a lot of sweat angels and silence on the floor after workouts.
The week really got me thinking of why crossfit has had such an impact on my lifestyle; crossfit has such a strong community philosophy behind it, when you think you do not have the strength to do one more lift or the energy to do one more sprint...there is going to somebody behind you shouting at you telling you that you have it inside of you, that there is that extra little bit of gas to get a few more reps in.
The dynamics of CrossFit are suitable for anybody that has the right attitude to do it, whether you are old or young, Super fit or just a desk jockey with the " I don't have time to Train" excuse. There is something in the box for everybody. It does not matter of you lifting a 12KG kettle bell or a 32KG kettle bell. Nobody is there to judge or compare.
You are there to train within your limitations and improve and when you move from a 12KG kettel bell to a 16KG kettle bell and hit a new Personal best with some O-Lifts, you know you have given it horns.
When you go from a jumping pullup to your first kipping pullup...remember you are the person who achieved it. You have taken yourself up a notch, pushed yourself to do something you could not do before. Acknowledge yourself for it and feel proud, "small achievements lead to great accomplishments".
Every time you stand above that kettle bell, or below that bar...give it 110% in your mind and your body will reward you with 150% back. Even though the your coach, training partner or fellow athletes with push you and tell you that you can do it, YOU are the person who has to lift that Kettle bell or run that sprint. Don't give it a half an attempt..give it everything..every time. Push through the pain and achieve something new everyday...it's a journey...Emrace it.
Enjoy Week 4 Peeps..
